Question Question about male possession of dildos

Ok, so I've been debating with myself recently about whether to purchase a dildo or not.

As a straight male, I've never really been inclined to own or use one in the past, and I should note that the idea (or even fantasy) of having sex with men is one I find repellant. But, over the past couple of years or so, I've gotten really into watching deepthroat and, more recently, shemale porn. And during that time, I've developed a certain curiosity as to what it would feel like to suck a cock and feel one in my ass. As aforementioned, I have no desire to seek out either real men or transsexuals, yet still the curiosity remains and while I've appropriated other items as substitutes, such as bananas, they don't quite get the job done.

So, I was wondering: is there any straight males on the forum who own a dildo or who've used on in the past, despite their orientation. I understand that sexuality can't be so easily labeled and that there are huge grey areas when it comes to human sexuality, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

As of this posting, I've only got two concerns keeping me from purchasing one:

    1) Is this a natural and honest curiosity, or one created and developed through the observation of internet pornography and

    2) If I do get one, will I tire of it once the curiosity is quenched and therefore have not only wasted money, but also put myself in a predicament for owning one?

I would appreciate any thoughts that flyers, male or female, might have on the issue.

1: Yes, it's natural. After all you sought out the Shemale porn, it didn't seek you out. And if you found that repulsive, you'd have stopped after 5 seconds.

    2. You can get dildos for about $20, pretty cheap compared to a fleshlight. As far as boredom, it depends. Getting past your gag reflex and anal tension will take time (and if your curiosity is more on the latent side you'll give up before it becomes enjoyable.) Aside from that, there's ofcourse the possibility of just giving up once you've experienced the novelty (ie. "So that's what anal sex feels like.")

If you can spare the cash (shop around, could find a low price and a dildo that's not intimidating) knock yourself out, bottom lining it "don't knock it til you've tried it"

If you can't justify the expense, then don't get it. The world won't end and chances are anyway that it's a personal fad and in a few months you'll be over it.

    Hey Octavius!

Curiosity about anal is totally natural, even if you hadn't stumbled onto shemale porn. Men have a prostate gland that can be reached through the anterior anal wall, which feels really good when stimulated. The prostate gland produces 20-30% of ejaculatory fluid, so touching it to lead up to ejaculation is supposed to make your ejaculations that much more powerful feeling.

If you don't end up liking anal, your money will go to waste on whatever toy you buy. But if you do like it, (and please remember to start small and use a lot of lube and go slow) you won't get tired of it, in the same way as that you don't get tired using your hand (or your Fleshlight). It is supposed to feel really good for guys, so give it a try!

If you want to not spend money, you can always use a gloved (or condomed) finger in your anus first, to see if you like that. Try to reach your prostate!

Maybe you're not straight but bi? I used to think I was straight but later on figured out I was bi.

Btw, if you want to use something for anal penetration, only use things that are meant for it. For example bananas can break off and get stuck. Bottles suck vaccuum. Not to mention the health and hygiene part of it.

I've never used anything that wasn't made for it. I have read so many stories, mainly about how hospital personnel is used to people coming in because something is stuck in the ass. Like the priest who claimed he accidentally sat down on a cola bottle. I'll never forget that one.

A bottle sucking vacuum can be solved by smashing a hole in it, something people would know had they paid attention in school. But still it's not a good idea. And the risk of anything that is not designed for anal penetration getting sucked into your colon completely is quite high. And you would need a doctor to get it out.

So if you want to try it out, get a toy that is made for it. Even if it turns out you don't like it, you will have found out which is not a waste of money at all.

And maybe you are bi. Or straigth but someone who likes anal as well. Or... I don't know.

You have your preferences and personally I don't believe in labels too much. It's about you, what you like and what you don't like. If you can't find a definition that describes you, don't worry. It doesn't matter. It's just you and your sexuality.

Agreed on the finger thing. But I was looking into prostate stimulators recently, the ones sold on the FL site, and I tend to do an in depth search about things I find interesting. And there were several sites that said that prostate stimulation can be harmful for the prostate and lead to problems. I couldn't find a real, reliable source on this, but it's something to look into.

Nope, that is definitely not true. Prostate stimulation is great, and it can even be used as a diagnostic procedure in doctors offices. There are several studies that show that prostate stimulation is great for preventing prostate cancer, and prostatitis, and benign prostate hyperplasia. I don't know what studies you're seeing that say that prostate stimulation is bad but that is simply not true!

I am curious. Do women have this same ability for stimulation in the anal anterior? In other words, can women also use the vibrating naughty boy and get the same kind of pleasure?

Thanks. As I said, I couldn't find a real, reliable source on this but there were several pages that warned against it.

I believe you on your word, but out of interest: could you provide any recources on this topic?

Women don't have prostate glands like men, but it is hypothesized that we do have vestigial prostate glands called Cowper's glands from the time when we were neither male nor female as a fetus. These cowper glands are small, and are supposed to be the reason that some women can ejaculate. However, there is no research on whether or not they can be stimulated through the rectal anterior.

Btw, I'll read up on it, but this causes me to be a bit concerned:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostate_massage#Risks

I feel similarly about the Andropenis ILF offers. Noone ever talks about it. There is no proof of it working and there are accounts of people who say their penis has been damaged by it. These are just accounts on the internet offcourse, but still.

Why is noone at all here raving about the Andropenis getting them the results as marketed? Or talking about it at all?

Why is ILF selling these products if it weren't just for the money?

It's just one of those things that's off about ILF. You even sell an expensive penis pump, which I have never heard of actually working.

This is not about you Sarah, but the company is quite off in a lot of ways.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penis_enlargement#Penis_pump

    "excessive vacuum causes vascular damage."

"excessive or prolonged use (hours) will cause permanent harm."

"Pumping must be done very carefully to avoid serious injury: over-enthusiastic pumping can burst blood vessels and form blisters."

"The effectiveness of penis pumps for permanent penis enlargement was examined by Kazem, Hosseini and Alizadeh. They studied 37 men with penis length less than 10 cm and found no significant change in penile length after using pumps for six months, although the follow-up have found 30% satisfaction with the method. The conclusion of the paper stated that vacuum treatment of the penis is not an effective method for penile elongation, but provides psychological satisfaction for some men."

After everything I've reported about ILF and looking into things on a deeper level, can you imagine that I have grown pretty suspiscious of the comapny?

The sales page of the penis pump your company offers claims an increase in penis size of a couple of centimeters and an increase in girth, while research has shown that no such thing happens. And that, if you're not careful, a penis pump might be harmful.

This is not a sign of a good company.

This specifically says "vigorous" prostate massage could cause something like a hemorage, which is massive bleeding. This means that if you jam something really hard into your rectal wall, it will bleed, or problems will happen to your prostate. This is true for almost anything you do vigorously - it can harm your body! This is kind of a common sense thing... if it hurts, stop doing it!

Same as you wouldn't jam a glass dildo really hard at the vaginal wall (which is also a risk of regular dildos, I suppose, if you're going to go this far) you should never jam your prostate massager anywhere. They are designed to gently stimulate your prostate. Their shape doesn't allow for you to do it too hard.

Well, I decided to indulge my curiosity and I bought a dildo; good size one, too. I'm only gonna have one, so I figured I better get a good one for the money, but nothing something too crazy. So I got an 8" ballsy jelly dildo with suction cup. To be quite honest, it didn't look as big in the photo as it does in real-life; at 6", that dildo's a girthy motherfucker! Suction cup works real good, tho, and way better than the shower mount's.

Overall results were anti-climactic. Personally, I thought it'd be much more of an experience, but giving oral to it was...meh. I haven't tried anal yet, but I think I'll give it a go tonight. At a little over $20, I'm not out all that much money and the dildo's something I can take out ever once in a blue moon for kink/novelty's sake. Thanks for the input, everyone!

I did exactly the same a week ago. Also bought one for $20 and it was also a 6" one with suction cap. Giving oral and also the anal experience weren't satisfying at all. I thought it may give me some additional pleasure or whatever, but it's not really what pleasures me at all. But, jacking off while riding it I could swear that the load was a bit bigger than usual, maybe because of the "prostate stimulation"? Anyway I think that this will stay an one-time-only experience and since it only had been $20 I don't really care that much when I get rid of it again

Has anyone here tried one of the prostate massagers like the Rude Boy? I've been interested in one of those for a while, but don't want to drop the cash on something that I'm not entirely sold on. Looks like fun, but it seems like the reviews are either love it or hate it. Which is often the case with this stuff, but first hand experience would be nice to hear.

I have two, which are the Aneros Vice and the Aneros Progasm Ice. I am one that loves them. I got the Vice first which has a vibrator in it but the material is porous so cleaning is more of a task. I like the medical grade material the Progasm Ice is made of and cleaning and sanitizing is abreeze.

As far as stimulation they both work great. You just need to use a lot of lubrication and there are lubrications made for anal that last longer that the water based ones you need to use on our Fleshlight’s.

I originally wasn't going to comment but let me say as a straight male anal play is fun. I too was like you and wanted to try it out. After doing lots of research into what would be best I ended up purchasing an Aneros MGX. I concluded it was small enough but would still provide some pleasure. After much awaiting and lots of nervousness I tried it out. Let me just say that it feels absolutely incredible. I found that it really enhanced the quality of a traditional orgasm.

Fast forward a couple months and I saw that Aneros made the Vice which was a considerably larger and vibrating model. After deciding I had to have it I waited for a sale and purchased that as well. While I do enjoy the Vice as well I think I actually prefer the smaller MGX. They both feel really good and I use them to enhance sex with my girlfriend. Also I found they give an instant (and lasting) hard-on.

So I hope my comment was helpful. If you have any further questions feel free to ask. I am a very open person!

Well, I started with my own fingers to see what felt good and then went shopping. I have bought several anal toys from simple plugs to glass anal dildos. The rude boy is good, but go to your local shop and look at a lot of toys and feel them. That will give you a better idea what will fit your ass best. Happy shopping. Let us know what you get and how it works for you. I know my glass anal vibe makes me cum without touching my cock. Wife loves stuffing my ass because I get so hard and last a lot longer in her

Let me add that for all the straight males out there who are interested in giving anal to a woman (fingers, mouth, penis), it can be a great experience to explore anal yourself. It will make you a more understanding lover, and can increase your chances that your partner will enjoy herself when the time comes and therefore want to engage in anal sex or want to engage in it more than once. I was curious about anal and so explored different toys (anal plugs, beads, smooth vibrators) and eventually purchased an Aneros MGX prostate massager. I have found nothing that is as enjoyable as the Aneros. After exploring these things alone, I introduced the idea to my wife. She was game to explore together and so every once in a while I would put the Aneros in and then enjoy a session with my wife (oral and intercourse). The experience was simply awesome. Seeing me enjoy anal play as much as I did made my wife more and more curious, and eventually she began to want to play a bit. It has led to some more anal play between the two of us, and we continue to explore this boundary, something which has been an enormous turn on for both of us. I can really enjoy the Aneros solo or with a partner. As for dildos, they have never done much for me solo, but I have had my wife peg me a couple of times with a strap-on, and that is a whole different experience. The physical pleasure is still not as good as with the Aneros, but the emotional connection to my wife, the site of a beautiful woman doing it to me, makes for an incredible experience.

As for fear regarding damage, consider that the source of the information is a post on wikipedia, a non-scientific source. The one specific scientific reference being discussed there and here is for a single case study of someone suffering problems after vigorous prostate massage. Two things, as others have said, they are writing about "vigorous" massage. Second, this is a single case study, that is, one person. A very, very, very small percentage of people undergoing basically any "safe" procedure have complications. Given that there are probably millions of individuals engaging in prostate massage or anal sex (ranging from fingers to plugs to dildos to penises), I am not convinced that one case should be a deterrent.

Be smart and enjoy yourself. Use toys designed for anal play. Don't go from no experience to giant dildos. Use lots and lots of lube. If you decide to try and simply can't relax, stop and try again another time. Anal play and prostate massage can be awesome experiences.
